How to restore missing Quick Action panel both in notification area and setting>system>notifications & actions ?

Hi everyone,

I'm a Windows 10 user and I recently installed a fresh copy of the operating system on my laptop. Everything seemed to work fine until I noticed that the quick action panel was missing from both the notification window and the settings>system>notifications & actions menu. This is very frustrating because I use the quick action panel a lot to access features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness, etc.

I tried to search online for a solution but I couldn't find anything that worked for me. I also checked the Windows Update and made sure that I have the latest version of Windows 10. But nothing seems to fix this problem.

Does anyone have any idea how to restore the quick action panel on Windows 10? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

A Windows reset can sometimes result in a corrupt operating system, if you have downloaded the Windows 10ISO, then the best option is to perform an in-place repair with that ISO, that should stabilize your Windows installation.

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the upgrade option.

I have used windows reset option available in Settings>Update & security>Recovery>Reset this PC.

I have downloaded the iso file of windows 10 in my HDD prior to resetting.

    Thank you.

Thank you for that information, what method did you use to re-install wWndows, was that just using the built-in Windows Reset option, or did you clean install Windows using a bootable USB?

    Hi Ataur,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

In a later version of Windows 10, they removed the Quick Actions settings form the Settings app, if you right click or click and hold a Quick Action on the Panel popup, do you then get the Edit option?

Negative. In the popup panel there is no available icons for quick action, whole area is empty (screenshot is marked in previous post).

    Thank you for your reply.
