Hello. I am seeing these changes in my services.msc. Computer works fine. It is a brand new Windows 11 installation, so nothing is installed on it, all new. I also did sfc /scannow but everything seems ok. I also did DISM but returned no issues. I am just wondering if this is a big deal or not? Thanks

I find it odd that no one on the web has explained what this is, and here we are on Microsoft's own website and still no one wants to answer the question. It's not "odd". It's suspicious.
so what is this and why is it in windows services it seems to be a some sort of network protocol is it used for Microsoft to spy on us why is there please explain this to me
Found this on the NVIDIA forums "NPSM stands for Now Playing Session Manager. This service is responsible for showing now playing media on the volume flyout on Windows 10 and on the action center on Windows 11"
