NVIDIA Quadro P1000: not working anymore

Recently, my graphic card seems to not work anymore. There is a warning icon on it in the devices manager, and if I try to update the driver or reinstall the card, I got the blue screen of windows failure.

I still have graphics through my processor, but of course limited...

I am using Windows 11.

I don't know if the card is broken or if it's only a driver problem, I have no idea how to check that (on a Dell Laptop, that I can't open).

Thanks in advance!

Nicolas

    Hi,

Unfortunately, this morning, it's back to before. The graphic card is turned off by my computer because it's not working...

"Windows has stopped this device because it has problems. (Code 43)"

How can I know if the problem is not coming from my graphic card itself?

    Hi,

I installed once more the driver and this time it seems it worked! The warning icon disappeared and I didn't get the error blue screen.

I have to say I also update the BIOS and swtiched to 22H2 version of windows, that might explain. (Although I have other issues now with the 22H2 version... no internet using ethernet).

    Thanks!

error message with Code 43 indicates a hardware problem with the NVIDIA Quadro P1000, rather than a driver issue. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose the problem:

Hi there, I'm so sorry that the issue still persists.

Could you please follow the steps below and let me know how it goes?

Check the connections: Make sure that the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 is properly seated in its slot and that all the necessary power cables are properly connected. If the card is not getting enough power, it may not function properly.

Use diagnostic tools: There are several diagnostic tools available that can help you test the functionality of your graphics card. NVIDIA provides a tool called NVIDIA System Tools that can help you monitor and diagnose issues with your graphics card.

Try the card in a different system: If possible, try installing the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 in a different system to see if it functions properly. If it does not, the problem is likely with the card itself.

Check for physical damage: Inspect the card for any physical damage or signs of wear and tear, such as burnt or damaged components. If you find any damage, it's likely that the card is malfunctioning.

Ultimately, if the problem persists even after trying these steps, it's likely that the issue is with the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics card itself and it may need to be replaced.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!

I'm glad to know that it worked! Updating the BIOS and switching to the 22H2 version of Windows may have also played a role in resolving the issue.

You may want to check your network settings and make sure that your Ethernet driver is up to date.

Hi dear, My name is Erfan and I'm really sorry that you're experiencing this issue but I'll be more than happy to help you with fixing it!

It's possible that the issue with your NVIDIA Quadro P1000 is related to a driver problem or a hardware malfunction.

I suggest you take the steps below so you can troubleshoot the issue and please let me know how it goes.

Check for driver updates: Go to the NVIDIA website and download the latest driver for your NVIDIA Quadro P1000. Install the driver and see if it resolves the issue.

Check for conflicts: It's possible that another device or driver on your system is conflicting with the NVIDIA Quadro P1000. Go to the Device Manager and check if there are any devices with warning icons or if there are any conflicting drivers. If there are, try disabling or uninstalling them to see if it resolves the issue.

Check the hardware: If the above steps don't work, it's possible that the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 is malfunctioning. Unfortunately, since you have a Dell laptop that you can't open, you may not be able to physically check the card. However, you could try connecting an external monitor to your laptop and see if you get a display from the NVIDIA Quadro P1000. If you don't, it's likely a hardware issue.
