My spare Computer, a small LYNX tablet/laptop running on Window 10 does not respond to Shut Down or Restart and I am having to shutdown by switching off the computer. It will then restart when needed but it takes longer than normal to do so.
It is running on Version 22H2 x86...It will switch on OK and works fine...It also received updates OK recently such as KB4023057...5025221...5026361 and 5026435 with no problems
I would appreciate any help to resolve this problem...No digging into the Registry please...I have never felt confident enough to do this...I will appreciate any other solution that solves this annoying problem...Please keep it simple...Am at a very advanced age and my 2 computers are my window on the world.

Hello Francis, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.
There are a few things you can try to fix this issue. One solution is to turn off the fast startup feature.
To do this, press the Windows key + I key to open the Settings window, then click System. Click Power & sleep > Additional power settings. Click Choose what the power button does. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Here is a site where the process is well explained in pictures in the first solution.
Don't do the second solution with their suggested program, to update your drivers, go through Windows Update instead.

Many thanks for reply...Tried your suggestion and others received...No luck...
Have decided, as this old tablet is only for a backup for my main Computer and is for emergencies only...as sound is not needed for any purpose I need...not to worry and to live with no0 sound.
Regards.

It seems to be a frequent problem on these models from what I read on the web ...
Here he seems to have found the solution with the iso of a previous version.

But in the device manager, look in "Display" and "show hidden devices" if you see them. If so, right click on it and update.
Hi Marco,
Many thanks for reply...It appears that the Shut down and restart functions are now working.
But am getting nowhere with the Sound Driver...I have a feeling that I somehow removed it when I was going through the main problem. The computer just reports 'No Driver'
Any idea where I can obtain one from...My model is...Linx 1010KBO
