How do I get Microsoft Store to notify when one of my apps has an update?

Hi

I was checking to see if an update was needed for one of my apps. Per the vendor, I have the latest version. They told me that Microsoft Store would tell me when an update is needed. I looked in the store and then the library and found apps installed on my pc. Two apps show needing updates. I was never notified by the store that an update was needed.

I checked Settings - System - Notification and Actions and checked the "get notifications from senders" area. Microsoft Store was already on, and I changed the priority to high. I did the same for a few other apps. Actually, all are on except the Partner Promo app, whatever that is.

I searched but didn't find anything that helped.

What did I miss? Why am I not seeing that updates are needed?

    Where are you see the three dots?

    Is this in the Microsoft store? Which tab?

    I see my apps when I go to Microsoft Store on the library tab. There are three dots, but I don't get a settings option when I click on them.

    I don't see three dots if I go to Settings - System - Notifications.

    Can you tell me where you are going?

    I have Win 10 home.

    Hi, ceedge. I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

    You can enable the automatic app update by clicking on your account in the upper right corner and clicking on settings, then turning on the "App updates" option, after this all your apps will update automatically when a new version was released.

    Mine started to notify after I let it update automatically, following the step by step below, you can test this configuration:

    Click on the three-dot menu icon again, but this time select "Settings" from the menu. In the Settings page, make sure that the toggle switch for "Update apps automatically" is turned on. This ensures that your installed apps will be updated automatically, and you will receive notifications when updates are available.
