I bought a C-type to HDMI adaptor and used that which seemed to do the trick I'm assuming because it plugs into the CPU rather than the GPU.
I was able to boot into safe mode to delete the app and everything works fine now.

I installed MSI afterburner on my Acer Nitro 5-an1556 running windows 11 home (which doesn't have a screen because it broke so I have it plugged into my tv with HDMI) and adjusted the clocking. While it was working I decided to set it to start with windows with the same settings. I had to restart the application after changing the skin and upon startup of app my screen went blank but with colour from the open app. Now every time I boot windows and goes blank with colour around 5 seconds after logging in. I've tried booting into safe mode to delete it but nothing but a black screen comes up on my tv.

Can you see the BIOS on the TV when you turn the laptop on?
Boot into WinRE using the Windows 11 USB setup disk.
In Windows RE, click Troubleshoot → Advanced → Command Prompt.
Run bcdedit /enum all | findstr /i osdevice to find the drive letter of the OS partition.
Rename the Afterburner program folder.
I've tried booting into safe mode but when I do nothing comes up on my tv screen. I've unplugged the screen cable from the mb and tried Botting it like that with no prevail. I tried using windows+P to change the main display and still nothing comes up on the screen. I also tried the f8 function to get to the startup menu and that doesn't work.
