Printer driver unavailable - Windows 11

I have a new laptop. One brother printer installed fine. The new printer won't install no matter what i do. Exactly the same issue as thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-unable-to-add-a-printer/e9f13785-f5ec-4240-920d-43782c8e8a3d?page=1

Has this issue been resolved? I get the message "software driver unavailable. " Trying to install brother printer on Windows 11 machine. It works on my other laptop, so i know the printer setup is fine.

i have so far, uninstalled and reinstalled everything to do with any printer any every printer.

Rebooted network/modem, printers and computer.

Reset all the network settings on the printer.

Ran all microsoft updates.

Downloaded Brother specific driver and software and it wouldn't install....always the message software driver unavailable. Apparently Microsoft got rid of Print management.msc so can't check that.

I deleted all the drivers related to brother from the printer spooler.

I am a ms certified professional (windows8) so i am not new to troubleshooting.

Cleaned out any traces of the printer I could find and rebooted and tried to reinstall with no luck. So far brother have been unable to resolve either.

Lastly, tried connecting the PC with LAN and WIFI and neither options work.

    Download this Printer Driver & Scanner Driver for USB file, click open, it extracts all files new folder gdi

    and follow the steps below site, Install printer manually using .inf file

    Download and install 7-zip 64bit software .

    If you downloaded printer driver file in download folder, right click on that file , click open, gdi folder wil be created in download folder

    So after 1 hour on a support call with Brother it was determined that the last update has affected all the printer policies on my laptops. 2 new clean builds and neither can install the brother drivers.

    The brother printer tech opened the Local Group Policy Editor and selected Computer configuration > Administrative Templates > Printers . All the settings are in a NOT CONFIGURED state. He tried enabling a few but this was ineffective.

    Tried installing it on another windows 11 machine and got the following error

    Operation could not be completed (Error 0x000000709)

    Double check the printer name and make sure that the printer is connected to the network.
