On my windows 10 after a windows update my computer keeps asking me to restart to finish configuration of my computer.
I've tried multiple restarts and running the windows update troubleshooter. Is there a way I can restart the update or similar, since something must have gone wrong in the first update.

If the problem persists, after the format and reinstall the Windows, then this is a different issue.
I advise you to open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.

Try open start and search for cmd or Command prompt and right click and run as administrator and then type the following commands:
net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
net start bits
net start wuauserv

The computer came preinstalled with windows 10. After my mom accidentally upgraded to windows 11, I downloaded the 10 from microsoft support site and reinstalled using this. After enquiring with my mom, I found out that this has pretty much been an issue on her PC from the beginning and she has gotten used to it.
Thanks for your answer, and I will try to report it on the feedback Hub as you suggest so they maybe can fix it for future updates :)

I just formatted the computer and reinstalled windows, after installing all pending updates this remains. Unclear which other updates it was installed with.
Troubleshooting fails to identify any problems at all.
I've restarted bits and wuauserv via cmd as you suggested. After restarting the issue persists, and the notification still asks to restart the pc.
