In Task Manager, click on "View", then on "Group by type", you can also filter background processes and apps by clicking on "Name", which will do the same thing.
How to make Task Manager show no processes, only basic applications
My task manager used to show only the basic apps I was running, such as chrome or steam. This made it easy to find the program I needed to force quit if issues were occurring. For some reason, my task manager now shows a bunch of computer processes. It is confusing and has made it so I cannot find the apps I need to force quit. Is there a way to make my task manager only show basic apps again?

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
The only way to show mainly the applications you are using in task manager is to select the Users tab instead of the Processes tab in Task Manager and in the Task Manager settings in Windows 11, you can set the Users tab as the default tab.
