Windows 8 [build 9200] stuck on failure configuring Windows Updates and reverting changes for hours

Hi,

I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro x64 on a desktop and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. In this 2 weeks, I have resisted installing Windows updates as am not interested in installing them. But today, I thought of updating, and so installed all the updates and restarted the computer when it prompted. But now, the problem is that, after it booted, it installed for 15% and froze and after some time...it stuck on reverting changes for like 3 hours now.

This is my main PC and I am in need for some quick help

I tried force reboot, but that didn't work either and stuck on same screen. Interestingly, the startup sound is played and the PC goes to sleep after sometime, but on waking no change is observed

Thanks in Advance.

Hi, this is not upgrade to higher version of windows. It is the kbXXXXXX updates from the control panel.

I went to recovery mode, and it asked me to restore the system to an earlier point of time. I clicked on system restore and the PC rebooted and it is back into the same screen

O a desktop neat. Try unplugging the power cord click in the power button while it's unplugged. Then click out the power button and then power up the Desktop. Was This a update to a higher windows version? Make sure your ethernet net cable is plugged in. Worst case scenario you gotta get into recovery mode.
