Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue. If you have disabled virtual memory on the F: drive in your system settings, it's unusual for the "F:\pagefile.sys" file to be large.
You can manually delete the "F:\pagefile.sys" file. Note this might cause system instability if virtual memory is enabled and the operating system needs it.
Try to reduce its size by following these steps:
- Open the Start menu and type “advanced system settings” in the search bar.
- Click on “View advanced system settings”.
- Click on “Settings” under the “Performance” section.
- Click on the “Advanced” tab.
- Click on “Change” under the “Virtual memory” section.
- Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”.
- Select your F drive and click on “Custom size”.
- Set the initial size and maximum size to a value that is smaller than your current pagefile.sys size.
- Click on “Set” and then click on “OK”.
You can disable it by the following steps:
- Open the Start menu and type “advanced system settings” in the search bar.
- Click on “View advanced system settings”.
- Click on “Settings” under the “Performance” section.
- In the new window, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Change" in the "Virtual memory" section.
- Uncheck the option "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives."
- Select the F: drive (or any other drives where you want to disable virtual memory).
- Choose the option "No paging file" for the selected drive.
- Click on "Set" and then "OK" to apply the changes.
If the above steps do not help, reach out to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue. Thank you.
Best,
Mostafa
