Why is my RAM Usage so high?

For some reason my ram usage has become very high for the past few days, to the point where I can't open more than 5 Chrome tabs. I have 8GB of RAM. But whenever I try to run 6 or 7 Chrome tabs my laptop blacks out for a few moments, or the Chrome tab reloads and shows an error of No Memory. I can't tell what takes up more than half of my RAM. At first when I use RAMMap to check my RAM usage it was MemCompression so I turned it off and I shut down my laptop for the night. The next day I come back to see that my memory was still almost completely occupied, but this time nothing showed up on the RAMMap. Any ideas on how to fix it?

It seems that my picture insertion function doesn't work so I included it as a link to a discord image.

I do not see any sign of crypto miner, neither CPU nor GPUs are loaded.

Unfortunately, this situation is typical for nowadays, Internet-related apps and Internet pages use a lot of computer resources and the quality of these resources increases each year.

So, either reduce a number of running programs and opened pages or increase a RAM for a smooth operation. Sorry if I disappoint you.

ohhh so ur saying it's always been like that? funny, I swear I could have run about 20 Chrome tabs on my laptop when I got it, I guess not.

Is it possible if someone hacked into my computer and placed a crypto miner on my laptop? Just wondering.

How old is your laptop? Have you run a Memory Test to see what it shows? Look in the Control Panel to see if you see Windows Memory Diagnostic.

All your processes asked the system for 11 GB RAM, so 3.5 GB in processes' private sets are reasonable enough.

Please note, the drivers use ~1 GB for themselves, so the total result is ~normal for such number of programs running,

Sorry but seems you need to add a RAM. Task manager shows you have a unused RAM slot so please look at laptop compatibility list and expand the RAM with 8-16 GB module.

Unfortunately, each new version of Internet-related tool (Teams, Discord, Chrome and so on) requires more and more RAM.

Nostalgia, I've started Internet using with a laptop with 4 _mega_bytes RAM...
