Fix on Event ID: 86

hello, my amd drivers started crashing, and sometimes it gives a driver timeout error to me, and every time i launch a game, the system just froze completely, and i have to force shutdown by holding the power button. i tried reinstalling drivers but it didn't work, any game i launch it would do the same, or even just doing a gpu benchmark, it would froze completely. since my laptop has an integrated and dedicated gpu, i tried disabling the dedicated gpu on device manager, and run a game, and it runs fine, but when i enable the dedicated gpu, it freezes again. i contacted amd about it, and just advice me to just update bios, do a clean boot, and re install the drivers, and it didn't worked. i tried looking at the event viewer and this is the log when it crashes.

If that did not solve this, then please go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, they should have a utility to update all drivers there and also check for any BIOS update that may be available and not yet installed.

that's so weird, amd said to install the latest too, so i did use their amd utility tool to remove the current driver, and download the latest, i did those steps but it does the same problem.

Your minidump files indicate that it is the device driver on your AMD graphics card that is causing the problems on your PC.

You should completely remove the current AMD graphics card device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website to download and install their recommended version of the AMD graphics card device driver.

A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.

    Hi Daniel,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
