If I delete something from onedrive, will it stay on my phone?

Hello! I turned on sync with Onedrive and my Samsung phone, but now my onedrive is full and I don't want to pay to upgrade storage. I just want to make sure that if I remove the connection from Samsung and Onedrive and delete the photos from Onedrive they will stay on the hard drive of my phone, I don't want to lose any files. Thanks!

    Hello Silcat, this is Emily.

If you remove the connection first, then delete the photos, you will be fine. The photos won't be deleted. Also, I do want to make sure you are referring to the Camera Roll upload right? If so, that's actually a backup, not a sync, meaning if you delete while OneDrive is still connected on the phone, your local photos on the phone are perfectly safe. Yes, I meant the camera roll backup, sorry about that. It's good to know my pictures are safe. Thank you!
