Hello! My name is Cristiano. I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you.

Yes, you can activate Windows 11 on an unsupported PC if you have a digital license for Windows 10. Here are the steps on how to do it:

    1. Download the Windows 11 ISO file from the Microsoft website.
    2. Create a bootable USB drive or DVD with the Windows 11 ISO file.
    3. Boot your PC from the bootable media.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11.
    5. When you reach the activation screen, select the "I don't have a product key" option.
    6. Click on the "Activate Windows" button.
    7. Windows 11 will automatically activate using your digital license for Windows 10.

Please note that Microsoft has not officially supported installing Windows 11 on unsupported PCs.

It is up to you to decide whether or not to install Windows 11 on an unsupported PC. If you do decide to install it, be sure to back up your important files before you do so.

No right answer on this topic YET. I also have a legit version of Win 11 Home on a thumbdrive,, but it won't install on unsupported PCs or laptops w/o sufficient memory and CPU...all I have is a 14 year old Intel dual-core HP laptop with just 2 GB of memory and a crappy Intel GPU. So I would like to use it INSTEAD of some supposedly stripped down mini Windows 11 ISO downloaded from a dodgy website w/o a valid activation key.

Just so aggravating!! Gonna have to buy a cheap used laptop somewhere that has enough processing power and either installed memory exceeding 4 GBs or which allows more memory added to comprise 6-8 GB. Being recently retired on a modest fixed income and a wife who hasn't held a FT job in almost 20 years really constrains my budget. Funny how a few people I know gave me their old laptops, all originally had Windows Vista Business on them, but were converted to pirated versions of Windows 7 Ultimate and Pro 32bit OSes, yet each of the laptops were sporting 64 bit arch.

can i install windows 11 on a computer that is set to legacy boot as opposed to UEFI boot? I've tried multiple times to set my computer to UEFI boot but then the computer just stops loading windows 10 OS and can only be operated from BIOS. I have now set the computer to Legacy and UEFI boot but in msconfig32 it still states Legacy only.
