Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard stops working randomly (but not the mouse nor number pad)

I have a Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic wireless keyboard for a few months now. I run Windows 11. I did the last update on my computer yesterday and since then the keyboard randomly stops working. I tried using the solutions on this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/microsoft-sculpt-wireless-keyboard-intermittent/576defc3-634a-4a6a-9793-230dcc447f77 from 2018, but nothing works. It's the same issue : I have to remove the batteries, wait a bit, put them back in and the keyboard works again. When the keyboard doesn't work, the number pad still does as does the mouse. It's my work computer so I don't have all the access for the Command Thing. Right now as I'm typing, the keyboard is randomly activating and de-activating some shortcuts despite me not touching anything but the keys to write.

What do I do ? I've done all the updates, I've run the Hardware & Devices updates/troubleshooting and nothing is helping.

Infos about the computer :

Acer Spin 513-52N, Edition Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, OS build 22000.613 64bits (I'm not sure which infos you need).

Thanks

I had this issue and it ended up being a stuck key, specifically the Pause key. It seems to have been caused by the key becoming stuck when I transported it in a backpack.

I had this problem with my keyboard. Number pad was working fine. Tried everything... new batteries, reboot, reinstall drivers, check for stuck keys, etc. Nothing worked. I opened the battery compartment and took out the batteries. Turns out that one of the -ve battery contacts inside the compartment was tarnished. (The -ve contacts are the spring-loaded ones at the wider end of the compartment). It was blackish when it really should be silver. I used a small piece of fine sandpaper to gently remove the corrosion and then replaced the batteries. Keyboard worked fine after that.

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, TRY TO UNSTICK THE KEYS!

Thanks for posting this! I couldn't figure out why my Microsoft Sculpt keyboard would work for 30 seconds or so, then I would need to remove both batteries, put them back in and get another 30 seconds of typing.

I found a program to capture keystrokes being sent and found one of my function keys was stuck - now the keyboard works again!

I have the same issue - Windows 10 laptop. Only purchased the keyboard 2 months ago, but the issue has been happening ever since i purchased it. I can't take it back for a refund as i no longer have the original box. For the price paid i expected it to just work!

None of the previous suggestions have worked for me - only thing that seems to work is to lift the keyboard, up by 90 degrees and wiggle it until the little light comes back on, and it reconnects. (Although can hear something rattle in the keyboard). But it happens so often including while i am using it, so i know its now a power saving issue from the laptop.

Anyone have any idea how to actually contact Microsoft support for warranty - as it seems impossible to be able to directly contact support. :(
