Please help, I had this problem since 2021 the MISSING WIFI ICON. I think someone said I encountered this problem by upgrading from Windows 10 to 11. My laptop is ASUS TUF GAMING F15, I bought it in 2019. Ever since that I've been trying to bring the wifi icon back by watching tutorials, but it didn't work. After some days, I came to ask for help in ASUS help center 2 times, and it worked. I think someone said it's because I updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but I couldn't remember much. Later, the icon disappeared again after many many MONTHS, on the first time going to the help center, it worked. Disappeared after months. Second try, it worked and disappeared again. Suddenly, I got an idea of FULLY restarting my pc. I tried it two times, first it worked, then the icon disappeared again after 2 or more months. Second try, it didn't work. After that I found a new method to fix it, that is holding the power button when my laptop is off, then turning it on again, i found the method by looking at youtube comments while rewatching the tutorials on how to fix my missing wifi icon. The method is like restarting the computer but with the settings restarted too. Unexpectedly, the icon disappeared again. After using the method many times and succeed, it kept getting worse. First time when I used the method, it worked and I was so happy. When the icon disappeared again, I used the same method. It works again, and after some months using the same method it keeps disappearing faster and faster. I even tried using network reset in settings that never worked. I am stressed, left in despair and used a different method that I figured out myself, that is going to computer management > system tools > device manager > network adapters. First when I saw it, the Intel (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz) has a warning icon like this ⚠️. I uninstalled it and restarted my laptop. It worked, and just like the other method it kept getting worse as well. And I thought, why not combine both method? After trying it, it does work for weeks. Using it again and again because no other method is available it keeps getting way way worse. Suddenly again, I found out if I let my laptop do the combined method and leave my pc for hours, it worked but lasted for longer, because usually it keeps getting worse when I do the combined method that lasts from days, hours, to minutes. Until now, using the combined method and leaving my laptop for hours since days ago it didn't last for hours, but minutes. Now I don't know any other available method. What can I do now is just leave my hope for this place and wait, but I'm not acting dramatic. So please, I already did my best to try fixing my laptop. I don't know if people has the same problem as mine.

    All the suggestions listed above are the 'easy' ones, and they do not always solve this problem. I am facing the same problem, from time to time, about 5 times in 7 months.

    Going into Device Manager and uninstalling the Wifi Adapter (Intel 6E AX211 160Mhz as well) sometimes works, after letting the Device Manager reinstall it.

    The trouble shooter often suggests to connect an Ethernet cable, implying that it does not even detect the Wifi adapter at times.

    The Bluetooth connection icon also disappears from time to time. Could this be related?

    Hi Whynato87!

    I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

    I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issue with the missing Wi-Fi icon on your ASUS TUF GAMING F15 laptop. It sounds frustrating to have tried multiple methods and have the problem persist. While I can't provide a definitive solution.

    Please try the following: * Please check the Wi-Fi button around the PC to see if it is turned ON, if not, please turn it ON.

    * Restart the PC

    * Update Wi-Fi drivers: Sometimes outdated or incompatible drivers can cause problems. Click on Start Windows>type and click on Device Manager> Right-click on the Wi-Fi> Click on Update the driver. Visit the ASUS support website for your laptop model and download the latest Wi-Fi drivers available. Install them and see if it resolves the issue.

    * Windows Updates: Click on Windows> Type and click on Windows updates and then update the Windows

    * Reset network settings: Go to "Settings" in Windows, then select "Network & Internet" and choose "Network Reset." This will reset all network settings to their default configurations. Note that this will remove saved Wi-Fi networks, so you'll need to reconnect to them afterward.

    Kindly let me know, if you require additional assistance, I will be glad to help further.

    Best Regards, Shakiru

    My Best guess is it somewhat related to power management as I have noticed whenever my laptop (Asus TUF Gaming A17) is switching to battery mode the wifi icon disappears, I have also check setting related to this in Device Manager > Network Adaptor >Realtek PCIe Gbe Family Controller > Properties > Power management, i have unchecked the the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" but still getting the same issue
