how do i set up the formula to multiply?

I want all amounts in column A to show up in column B as multiplied by 3.

    Hi Nancy,

    I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

    To make the second column multiply the first, insert this formula on the first value of the second column:

    =A1*3

    A1 is the first value of the first column (change to the cell of your first column)

    Drag from the corner of the first value of the second collum to the last to apply on the other cells.

    And you are using Excel, which is not part of Win and supported under Office, maybe the book, "Excel for Dummies"
