After downloading the windows update , I restarted the laptop and it said working on updates. But when it reached 100% it said "We couldn't complete the updates Undoing changes"

I tried to install the update multiple times but the same error keep showing.

What can I do about it?

I have an Acer Nitro 5 with the following specs:

Ignore the Microsoft bots. I believe something to be wrong with the update and to pause the updates for a little bit
I am having the same issue

Ensure after it reboots to run Command Prompt and run these commands

    sfc /scannowDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Why? Because I've found that when undoing the changes it causes some corruption and may blue screen (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION) when trying to play games or launch 3D applications. If you aren't, I still recommend it if any problems are coming up. Run SFC first because it fixed something, meanwhile for me DISM didn't do anything. I'd still do both though.

I updated this pc every time I turned it on for 8 years

    Now these updates:

    KB5032189 and KB5031356

Give me that loop where it almost finishes but undoes the changes after a couple hours of waiting for the update to finish,,,

    But yeah, sure...

The problem is on my end?

    Windows is junk

I can't wait until a real OS created by real pros is available,

Having this also. I tried the renaming of the files since in that past, that worked occasionally, but I can't rename Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old.

Windows Update Repair says it finds issues but can't fix them.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /restorehealth fails saying it can't find source image.

Haven't tried sfc /scannow because I was working with someone remote who is done for the day, and I had to reboot for the failed DISM and don't have access to their login. Will try it tomorrow.

Tried the updates manually and they failed, and could not get the Windows 10 repair install to run.
