I have been told that I should have access to a Windows 10 student license, but I never needed that before because my laptop had an OEM install. After my laptop broke I got a desktop PC instead. I can't transfer the license from my laptop to my desktop, so I thought I should use the student key instead. I have been searching online and checking all over my account, but I can't find that anywhere. I would even be willing to buy my own license, but I can't do that officially anymore. I refuse to "upgrade" to Windows 11 because I hate it, so please don't recommend that.

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
The only way to get a student licence is if your school/university have a volume licence agreement with Microsoft for their student, then you would be able to download a student licence form the OnTheHub website with their Email address.
The best option is to contact the IT person at your education facility to see if they provide Windows for their students.
