Obfuscation of Code in Applications - Are Such Applications allowed on the Microsoft Store?

Hello, this is more of an inquiry about the Microsoft Stores policies and if code obfuscation is prohibited. Recently, Roblox introduced a new system called Hyperion, an anti-tamper software developed by Byfron Technologies which the corporation bought in October 2022. While the Hyperion systems have been added to the web version (the client version which can be downloaded directly from the roblox.com website), it is reportedly absent from the Microsoft Store version.

I've seen some reports that the reasoning behind such was that the Microsoft Store doesn't allow the obfuscation of code, which Hyperion relies on to protect itself. I was wondering if such reports of the "no obfuscation" rule are true in relation to the Microsoft Store.

    Hi, carteratkins!

My name is Caio and I'll be happy to help you today =)

In fact, yes. Code obfuscation is not allowed when publishing apps in MS Store. However, this doesn't means that's the reason why they haven't implemented the system just on the browser version, they might be using another solution.

I hope this helps you! Please let me know if I can assist you more.

    Best regards,

Yes in fact they could but they added it to the Microsoft store without Microsoft knowing and now they have removed it from 594 and 596 so unless they make a deal with Microsoft then no.

Is it possible for Roblox to make a deal with microsoft to be an exception to the rule? I've heard some people saying this was a possibility
