Hello, Antonio Tanca
Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.
I am aware of the present situation is that you're having trouble with USB tethering from your iPhone to your Windows PC. Here are some possible solutions that I found and test:
- To use USB tethering on Windows 10 with an iPhone, you need to download and install the latest version of iTunes. Then, activate the Personal Hotspot on your iPhone and connect it to your PC via USB cable. You may need to update the driver for your iPhone in Windows Device Manager.
- Disable power-saving settings: Sometimes, power-saving settings on your PC can interfere with the USB connection. To prevent this, go to the Power Options settings on your Windows PC and make sure USB selective suspend is disabled. Press Windows+R > Type control.exe > find power options > Click on Change Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Expand the USB settings option and disable the USB selective suspend. As showed below:
- Assuming that all drivers were downloaded and the settings correct, but the connection disconnects when downloading a large file, it could be due to a low battery on your iPhone, a faulty USB cable, or a network issue. Try charging your iPhone, using a different USB cable, or switching to a different network. Then observe how everything behaves.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other updates.
