I have a wireless microsoft N9Z keyboard and I have a Nano Transciever (v2) - they do not work together

Wireless keyboard and transceiver both acquired in a job lot of computer bits I purchased.

The Nano receiver IS detected when I plug it in.

But the keyboard does not work.

I have tried different USB ports and different computers.

I have tried searching for the keyboard itself as a bluetooth device but cannot see it.

The Keyboard I guess needs to be paired with the transceiver ? How do I do this? I cannot see any button or anything on either the keyboard or dongle to start pairing.

Any assistance would be appreciated before throwing both items away.

I expect the keyboard and receiver got mixedup at some point...

    so both are now useless!?

What an absolutely rubbish design from a user point of view, but a great one when it comes to Microsoft scamming more money out of people as these dongles are easily lost, I don't usually buy Microsoft hardware (or software!) I got this keyboard and dongle in a job lot of bit, this has reinforced my decision never to buy microsoft and I'll advise anyone else not to buy microsoft hardware either.

Thanks for your help, my problem is not resolved but it sound like there isn't any way to fix it.

    Hi Aaron,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is a wireless keyboard, not a Bluetooth keyboard.

Microsoft keyboards will only pair with the USB transceiver they were supplied with, they will not pair with any other USB, not even one of the exact same type if it is not the one that came with the keyboard and on a wireless keyboard there would be no pair button, that is only for Bluetooth keyboards

In case the keyboard and USB are a matching set, have you checked the batteries in the keyboard?
