update windows 8 photo viewer, microsoft

Thanks for posting back : Bad news as per Microsoft

this new - Photos app - is only available for

supported operating systems. Like

Windows 10 and 11

The newly redesigned "Microsoft Photos app" it has to be

download it from - Microsoft Store - and this Store

is closed for .. Windows XP - 7 - 8 - 8.1

Just to confirm, you can try download it

if you're lucky maybe "You Go it" From the below

             After open the link. You've to click the button 

[Get in Store app] and follow its prompts

  -- in resume : Wanna have this app ~ and all the new ones

offered in - Microsoft Store. upgrade to Wins 10 - 11

it was retired a few years ago. Thanks to the redesigned Photos app.

Though - Windows Photo Viewer - it was the default photo app

on Windows 7 and 8 .. Microsoft replaced it with, its Universal

Windows Platform app simply called Microsoft Photos
