    Hello, enock abban

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am aware of the present situation is that your cursor has disappeared from your laptop screen. This can be caused by a variety of reasons, such as outdated or defective mouse drivers, open programs that interfere with the mouse pointer, or low battery power, etc. Before we find out, can you tell us a few more details:

    1. Whether your mouse cursor is only disappears in certain interfaces, such as typing text or using certain applications.
    2. At present, your laptop should carry a touchpad. Please try to use the touchpad to move the mouse and observe whether the mouse cursor is normal. If the touchpad has been disabled, please enter this interface, Press Windows + R to open the Run window -> Type control mouse and Enter to open the Mouse Properties window > Use the Tab key to go to the Buttons tab. -> Use the arrow keys to navigate to the Touchpad tab -> Select the Enable Device option and then press the Spacebar to select this option.
    3. Also, does your laptop support a touch screen? If so, try to see if tablet mode is turned on, if so, open the notification area in the lower right corner and uncheck tablet mode, under Windows 10, tablet mode may cause the cursor to temporarily disappear. Image

Here are some possible solutions you can try:

    • If you have a wired mouse, unplug it from your computer and plug it back in, or even into a different USB port. For a wireless mouse, remove the accessory from the USB port and turn off the mouse, then plug it back in, wait a minute, then turn it back on
    • Restart the computer. This can solve many problems, and it might be the solution no matter why the cursor doesn't show up. To do this, use Windows+D to access the desktop and Alt+F4 to find the shutdown option. You can press the Tab key to select an option and press Enter to reboot.
    • Run the built-in device troubleshooter. This checks for hardware issues and enables or disables the mouse if needed. This can be done by pressing Windows+R and executing the following command: msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
    • The pointer or mouse itself may have been disabled by Windows, another program, or even accidentally if your laptop has a physical switch to turn it off. If you're using a laptop, check for a switch near the touchpad or try one of the function keys, such as F6 or F9 (you may need to hold down Fn when selecting a key). Look closely at the keyboard for any clues as to which button controls your particular laptop's touchpad.
    • In order to eliminate the problems caused by the driver to the greatest extent, you can first try to enter WinRE mode from the boot interface, which helps to troubleshoot the interference of third-party software or services. If your mouse works normally in this mode, please check whether there is any other software interfering with the mouse.
