I do not have another computer handy for the suggest swap. Instead I switched the USB cable for the SSD to another USB port on the same computer. A port that has been working. Behold, the SSD did come to life, and is now accessible via the File Manager. So it looks like the original USB port was bad all along.

THANK YOU for all your help and patience.

OH! While that file has the same name as my prior downloads, the Run experience was very different. It does run, and it first reports that the "USB Controller is not working or is not installed". Later it reports that the troubleshooter could not find a problem. Rather confusing.

When i download the file :

    1. I dont have popup for registration.
    2. There is no installer. It just a WinUSB.diagcab file.
    3. I uploaded here for you to download.

I have tried that link multiple times. Each time there is a popup for registration(?). The installer wizard never appears. Fail.
