I was just on my acer aspire 1 but it was buffering a lot of i decided to restart it. now it won’t boot up but the blue light turns on. i’ve tried plugging it in and it still hasn’t worked. I’ve tried holding the power button down for 15 seconds AND 30 seconds and that hasn’t worked. It was literally working and turning on perfectly fine a few minutes before this. No fans or anything turns on when I press the power button, it only beeps when I unplug it and the lights on the side. I’ve tried everything i’ve read

    Hi Maddy,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You indicated you have pressed the power button for 30 seconds, please try this method.

Disconnect the power cable, and if the battery is removable, remove it

Press and hold the power button on the case of your laptop for 30 seconds

    Wait 30 minutes.

Then reconnect the power cable and battery if you disconnected it

Try starting the laptop again, does anything appear on the screen?

Have you tried the battery reset button..

It's usually a pinhole on the bottom of the laptop.

Sounds kinda like when my cat 🐈 chewed through my charger cord.

There is a possibility the battery is toast or the charger is not suppling enough power for it to boot the disk. I don't know how old this PC is but if it is older you definitely should hear the fans or disk unless it is a SSD of course.

This is a hardware issue unrelated to Windows. You should get support from Acer. English Community — Acer Community
