I fixed my problem with keyboard does not work in windows sign in screen. My shift key was stuck. when i cleaned my keyboard all is well.
On-Screen Keyboard Not Working
Hello,
For years the On-Screen Keyboard worked fine, then suddenly it stopped appearing at the Sign-In Screen where I enter my password to log in to Windows, one place where I need it most.
It appears on the Lock Screen before that and in Windows after that, but not on the Sign-In Screen.
I have done every configuration of Ease of Access in Settings and Ease of Access Center in the Control Panel, and nothing works.
Then, I did a clean install of Windows expecting it would be reset back to normal, but it wasn't, it's still not there on the Sign-In Screen.
Also when I'm in Windows, after I'm working awhile, suddenly I'll have 2 instances of the On-Screen Keyboard. I will close one, but it always comes back at some point. This issue came on at the same time the missing On-Screen Keyboard at Sign-In happened.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue? Is it an issue with the latest Windows Update?
Thank you.

2023-06-02T10:26:46+00:00 Thank you, but as I said in my post, I have done all these things in Ease of Access in Settings and Ease of Access Center in the Control Panel, and I just did a clean install of Windows, so I don't think System File Checker is going to be helpful at this point.

2023-06-09T20:04:42+00:00 I don't need to upgrade the PC, I just did a fresh install of Windows, as I said. I have the latest version and the latest update of Windows.
What I need is for the Onscreen Keyboard to appear when I'm at the Sign-In Screen.

2023-06-02T10:38:51+00:00 I recommend doing an "in-place upgrade". This will download Windows 11 installer files and use those to update and repair your system.
You can follow the video guide in the below link to know how to get it done:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/videoplayer/emb...- Please visit this link : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
- There you will see an option "Download tool now"
- A media creation tool with the latest version will be downloaded.
- Open it in file location and run as administrator.
- Accept the terms and licenses.
- Select the "Upgrade this PC"
- And then the downloading will start.
- Press "Install" once done.
The system will restart several time and the updates will happen.
