Attempting boot from usb device

So yesterday I tried to migrate windows from hdd to ssd, I entered bios to put ssd as the first in boot order, but when I tried rebooting it said:"system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready" I tried everything I could removing the hard drive and trying to boot from ssd, also tried to boot with only hdd but it didn't work. I tried the fixes in youtube and it still didn't work. The disks appear in bios, so I don't think there's a problem. I made a bootable usb and when I boot from it, it says:"attempting to boot from usb device", it has stayed like this for minutes. I tried rebooting the pc multiple times and still the same. I also recopied the files again and still didn't work, tried it with multiple editions like windows 7 and 8.1(from offical microsoft website). If anyone has any suggestions please help. If I can't get it to work,I'll send it to fix but they usually take too long and I just got my pc repaired yesterday.

It was nothing, it's a pleasure to be able to try to help you, I also wish you a great day.

I'll leave some threads below to help you with the clean install process, if you manage to create the installation USB with a friend or neighbor.

For this, you will first need to create a Windows installation USB, just follow the topic below. If necessary, you can create the USB on another computer.

After completing the creation of the USB, follow this thread, it is very detailed and will assist you in the clean installation of Windows.

***If you have any questions on how to start the USB installation, you can refer to this guide please.

It's probably a problem creating the Windows installation USB.

Ideally, you should try to create using the Media Creator Tool to see if the same thing happens, but I believe you should start it correctly.

    Hi thanks for replying.

I used disk genius coz no other app was working for me. I didn't use media creation tool but followed a tutorial in youtube which used unetbootin to create bootable usb. As far as I know there is no secure boot on my bios, I use a hp 8200 elite which has an old motherboard.

Note that I forgot to say😅:I made the usb in an imac

    Hello Jane, how are you?

Please let me know if you used any tools to clone HDD to SSD?

Is Secure Boot enabled in your BIOS?

Did you create the installation USB using the Media Creator Tool or Rufus?
