Hello dear, i allow myself to ask you here, i've this "bug" on every Windows OS (11 / Server) When you put some shortcuts in the Public\Public Desktop folder, it's correctly going on the Desktop on the user But when we are using the "Desktop" shortcut from "This PC" in "Windows Explorer", we can't see the shortcut from the Public Desktop folder. Why ?

Are you sure you clicked the "Desktop" root entry?

Whereas the other "Desktop" (under "This PC") will show only the contents of the current desktop.

You seem to have clicked on the Desktop link under Quick Access. But that's not what I said.

Please click on the "Desktop" item (the root entry) which I highlighted in yellow.

It points to your current user desktop folder.

    Please try this:

    Enable "Show all folders"

    Image

    And then click "Desktop".

It shows all items from the public desktop as well as the current user desktop.

(Keith Miller can explain this stuff better than anyone else. Please see Keith's post in this thread → Multiple occurence of "Desktop" folder in File explorer directory view - Microsoft Community and Windows 10 Desktop items not on Desktop - Microsoft Community)
