How can I disable Windows shortcuts for symbols (e.g. ctrl+alt+p for ö)

    You can set it to work only in a specific app, just set the executable name under "Target app"

    Hi,

    Thank you that worked for disabling the specific shortkey, but it also disables the use in other programs. So this is not what I was looking for, but thanks for the help! Guess it is just not possible.

    I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

    Windows does not have the option to disable these shortcuts. but you can use PowerToys to add a setting to disable it. Install PowerToyes from the Microsoft Store:

    After installing PowerToys, open it and select "Keyboard Manager" in the left menu > Remap a shortcut.

    Under "Physical shortcut" press the + button > Type and press the shortcut on the keyboard > OK. Under Mapped to: select "Disable" in the dropdown menu (first option in the list) > OK to save.
