Why does "regid.1991-06.com.microsoft_Windows-10-Home-Single-Language.swidtag" randomly show up on every computer I have owned for the past 5+ years?

Today I had a switag file appear on my computer that shows up on every computer that I have bought in the past five years and I would like to know what it is, and why it gets added to every computer I own. The file is "regid.1991-06.com.microsoft_Windows-10-Home-Single-Language.swidtag", and I've read that it is associated with MS Office, but I have never used MS Office. It just seems creepy the way it suddenly appears on my computers like a stalker you cant get rid of, and I am beginning to wonder if it is being used to track me in some way. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated,,,

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

A swidtag file most often contains software ID tag data. It is formatted in XML, which means it should be human-readable. If you open it in Notepad, for example, you'll see information about the software it identifies.
