This kind of issue happens sometimes and it is not anything wrong on your end. Hopefully the issue is short lived and will be corrected soon.
At the same time, do you have an alternative method to perforrm the two factor authentication? If so, choose a different way, such as using authentication app, etc.

Took extra step to enter computer password then submit e-mail address.
Received 7 digit code .
I’m having same problem . Have tried multiple times & always receive 6 digit code . This has been very frustrating to not have access to my pc for over 12 hrs. Now simply because I updated .
