Why my battery's charging design capacity had decreased?

Hello there, My laptop has completed its 2 years and now its facing problems with the battery.

Now, the battery has a much lower design capacity and decreases over time. I have another older hp laptop and I see that the design capacity does not decrease but the full charge capacity does. But in this case it is the other way around. The design capacity decreased from 38 925 mWh to 21 067 mWh. I have 189 cycles count in the battery.

What can be the issue? Please help me to know about it.

    Hello Thededevil,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

    The data is received from the battery controller chip located on the battery itself. With battery degradation sometimes the chip can start sending wrong data which will show up on the battery report.
