Hello,

I recently downloaded the game Valorant, and its anti-cheat requires an access to the kernel. Windows blocked the access and asked me if I want to disable the filter of access to the kernel (I guess its the meaning of the message... I attached an image of the message). I didnt disable the kernel filter. I dont want my pc will be unsecured.

So, there is a way to give only for the anti-cheat (which named Vanguard) access to the kernel? I dont want to disable the kernel filter, I want to give only for Vanguard access to it.

    Hi Dryer,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

This is a catch-22 situation that was first reported in April and continuing as far as I know. Riot Games need to fix it.

As of now, there isn't a solution available for the issue at hand. It is now up to Riot to ensure that Vanguard is compliant with the necessary security requirements. If you wish to have Vanguard installed and enabled, you will have to disable KM Hardware-enforced stack protection. However, this may lead to a decrease in the overall security of your Windows installation. It's not as unsafe as disabling the firewall or antivirus, but it's a choice that must be considered.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
