Hi! My Lenovo laptop had some hardware issues few months ago so I got it fixed. The repairer had installed KMSPICO on my computer system to reset my computer. Therefore, after KMSPICO Windows Defender had detected it as a malware. So I tried deleting it and installed Avast to protect my pc. At that time my Windows Defender was working properly. The next day, the repairer had deleted Avast and i noticed that my Windows Defender is not opening. I tried many solutions from a month but nothing worked. I think KMSPICO had damaged my pc. Windows Defender is opening but the logo is opening but its not working at all and it automatically closes. What do I do with this?

    Hi Samerix,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

KMSPico is an illegal tool to activate Windows and most downloads of KMSPico are wrapped in malware.

It is not really possible to know what that malware has done to your PC, download the free version of Malwarebytes and perform a full scan with that.

If that does not get Windows security working, the best option is to perform an in-place repair with the Windows 11 ISO, that should resolve the problem.

Please follow the steps, this is then just an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.

    Click this link:

to download the Windows 11 ISO

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the upgrade option.
