    Hi ,

I'm Lee, an independent advisor & an end user just like you. I hope that I would be of any help to your current issue.

If you have a Toshiba Dynabook, you could use Toshiba Fingerprint Utility relesed in 2016 - not sure if the support is still available.

    https://support.dynabook.com/support/viewConten...

Otherwise, you are kinda out of luck, I have yet come across any such application that allows the use of the fingerprint sensor for securing a folder.

However, if you’re using Windows 11 Pro, you can encrypt files directly within Windows.

To lock a folder in Windows 11 Pro using encryption:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder that you want to lock.

Right-click on the folder and select Properties.

Under the General tab, click Advanced.

At the bottom of the window, check Encrypt Content To Secure Data.

    Click OK.

Click Apply to apply your changes.

    Hope that works for you.

If that is not the case, please kindly attach a screen-shot of the issue so we could work towards resolving it.

    Regards,

    Lee
