So I am having an issue with the microsoft store app on my laptop, when through the "Get Help" section on the official microsoft website and had a chat with an agent who later asked to have remote access to my laptop.
First agent couldn't fix the problem and referred me to a 2nd tier technician from "Microsoft Level 2 Escalation Team".

The problem hasnt been fixed yet but i was receiving calls from +1 206-429-9176 that i did not pick up for side reasons.

And I am receiving emails from m s c s u p 1 @ microsoft .com.
I am not sure if this is legit or not, i feel really anxious giving anyone access to my laptop, can anyone help with this please?

Hi Danny! I'm Lumie, an independent consultant and Microsoft user like you! I understand why you would be cautious for this. If you log a ticket, you are likely to contacted through staff like this. If the email account has 'support' in its domain name this makes it even more likely. As NotAroundThisTime suggests, its good to get them to verify as many details to you as you can to ensure they are legit, such as your email, account details etc. Its good to know that it is unlikely that the timing perfectly synced like this unless you went through a 'Get Help' page that wasn't on the Microsoft website or their applications! Here is a link for a thread that agrees with these ideas: [https://answers.microsoft.com/thread/ce33aabb-94f1-4e2a-a6f3-2e2ebbc4a01a]

I hope this information helps!

It seems like you are working with Support and they were trying to reach out to you.

Didn't you get a ticket number? I bet it's referenced in the emails.

As for the phone call, you can always accept it and have them tell you what the ticket number is.

Nothing is 100% safe, but I bet if they match Ticket Numbers with what you were already given they are likely the ones assigned to try and help. Be aware if you ignore too many calls or don't reply to the email your Ticket will likely be closed.

It's your call of course as to what you are comfortable with. But if I was in that situation and I started the Support process and they told me they'd be getting back to me I'd be waiting for a phone call or email. But that's just me.
