The laptop does not have a vga port on it.
Hard reset Recovery screen not showing on external monitor.
I'm trying to factory reset a HP stream 14' laptop because I forgot the password. The screen is broken but the computer still works through an external monitor. The issue is the Recovery screen won't load on my external monitor. The windows will load fine normally, but when performing a factory reset by restarting the computer and pressing F11 the recovery screen doesn't load on the external monitor (Roku tv). Seems as if the monitor don't recognize the recovery part. Any help?

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.
It seems you have connected your laptop to the TV via an HDMI cable. If both the laptop and the TV have a VGA cable, try to connect it with a VGA cable. It must show the recovery screen.
