Weird glitchy pixels on screen

Hi! I had an issue with some weird glitchy pixels (will attach pictures of it) after I minimized my discord window. When I minimized my discord window on my second monitor it suddenly turned black for a mere second on both monitors and got back to normal again (happened twice when I minimized discord only). After that the issue was gone but then I started to notice multiple weird glitchy pixels on both my monitors. It disappeared after I restarted my PC. Thanks in advance!

P.S.: my PC is quite new and not even a year old :/

PC specs:

Motherboard: B450M H Gigabyte

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6x 3.60GHz

RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL 32GB DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16 1.35V

Hello, Bernard! Thanks a lot for your help.

I actually checked whether my gpu driver is updated or not and it is the latest update right now. Also the glitchy pixel issue has been gone since I restarted the PC earlier and until now it never occured again. Just for that one moment there were a bunch of weird glitchy pixels seen on both my main and second monitor. I tried looking it up on google and found out that it could be artifacting, a visual defect that can occur in a gpu due to a multitude of reasons such as overheating, hardware faults or outdated drivers. But my gpu is pretty new and I still don't understand why this issue would occur in my gpu.

    Any other ideas?

    Reina

Hi, technically that is a clean installation of the GPU regardless if it's on the latest, the clean installation will wipe out other registry entries of the GPU that may cause conflict if you have done the clean installation of the GPU and still have an issue, this might be a power loss on the monitor, in addition, if you have done all the steps and if none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, does it also appears when you start the PC and before logging in? if yes, it may be a hardware problem, if the issue only occurs when opening or minimizing apps, kindly follow the steps below:

We need to run a Clean installation of the Nvidia driver, after that, it will be all good, kindly follow the steps from this link:

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

    Method 2. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
