Chrome is usually slow when you have to many tabs open or too much ram is being used, and some times all it takes is actually just going to Settings ---> privacy and security ---> Clear browsing data ---> clear data ---> Restart chrome.

NOPE - Chrome just sucks is all. It's not at all about clearing browsing data or too many tabs open. Restarting Chrome does not solve the problem of slow loading, freezing up, crashing, not responding. It's caused by a corruption of the bookmarks and logins when importing and exporting between Chrome and other browsers.

    Hi, Bruce!

My name is Caio and I'll be happy to help you today =)

Are you experiencing slowness in other browsers, such as Edge too? The apps you mean, are Windows apps (programs) or Chrome apps (extensions and webapps)?

    Try resetting Chrome:

(Note: This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It'll also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your bookmarks, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)

    > Open Chrome and, on its address bar, type chrome://settings/reset and press Enter

    > At the new page, click on Restore settings to their original defaults

    > In the new popup, click on Reset settings

    > Check if the issue persists

I hope this helps you! Please let me know if I can assist you more.

    Best regards,

    Caio G.

What about Edge? *Experiencing extremely slow performance on my Lenovo Desktop, originally had window 8.1 and has the latest version of windows 10... When I have edge or apps that run through the web, it takes up all its memory and slows the computer. I use web-based services for my work, so I need to resolve this issue.Asking you all as a final attempt before I buy Mac. lol
