How do I get my HP Laptop working again, after the Windows 11 update?

A few days ago, I got a notification that my computer needed to be updated. And after putting it off for some time, i eventually scheduled for the automatic updated and removed any files from the computer that might’ve held up storage so it can be done properly. After i did that and the computer was fully updated, i moved back some of the files (deleting most for storage) that didn’t cause a threat to the computer or the system. It worked just fine since then but just recently after using it twice earlier in the day, when i came back to it and attempted to turn it on, it wouldn’t.

There was a black screen with the logo on and a small text as the bottom saying it was “processing a repair”. I didn’t touch it and allowed it to finish only for it to pop up with a blue screen saying that the “Automatic Repair couldn’t repair your PC”. It gave me two options, click on “Advanced Options” and try that or simply shut down the PC. I tried both and neither have worked. I’ve tried troubleshooting, factor resets (which sucks because i have school files on my computer that i need and probably won’t be able to get back), I’ve tried the Command Center, making sure to follow instructions on how to do so. I’ve even tried shutting it down several times and leaving it be for a couple of days.

This honestly wouldn’t be an issue if i didn’t need my laptop for school or if i had the money to take it to a repair shop but i do need it and i don’t have that kind of money - so what is the next step? Is it possible for me to fix it on my own or do i need to take it to a shop and send it it.

S/N:

There is a text that says Log File: C:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

I’m not sure that that means or if that is any significance as to the issue with my computer.

    I tried all of these options, two of which automatically didn’t work. The “Startup Repair” doesn’t work because it doesn’t even give me the option to click on my account and just reverts back to the blue screen telling me that my computer can not start up.

    Trying to restore the system also didn’t work due to me not doing it on a “functioning” computer. And the first and last options simply didn’t work so I think my only option is to take it into a repair shop and hope they can fix it.

    Thank you for trying to help me though, it was greatly appreciated.

    First boot in the Recovery environment.

    1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    2. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    3. On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the manufacturer’s logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    4. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    5. When Windows restarts, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.
    6. Press the power button again to turn on your device.
    7. Allow your device to restart into Automatic Repair, and select Advanced options to enter winRE.

    Run Startup Repair.

    1. Boot Into Windows Recovery Environment.
    2. Next, under Choose an option, click on Troubleshoot.
    3. Next, click on Advanced options.
    4. Click on Startup Repair. Now it will start to diagnose your PC to find issues with the start-up.
    5. Next, select a user account and enter the password.
    6. Click Continue to begin Startup repair. This process may take some time, so wait till it is complete.

    Perform restore point.

    1. Boot Into Windows Recovery Environment.
    2. Next, under Choose an option, click on Troubleshoot.
    3. Next, click on Advanced options.
    4. Click on System restore.

    Run SFC

    1. Boot Into Windows Recovery Environment.
    2. Next, under Choose an option, click on Troubleshoot.
    3. Next, click on Advanced options.
    4. Open command prompt.
    5. Type each command below and wait until the scan is completed.

    SFC /scannow

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
