Can't turn on the real time protection in my windows 11 machine .

hi

For the last days, real-time protection on my Windows 11 is turned off and whenever I try to turn it on it goes back to the off toggle. There's a text in yellow that says "You're using other antivirus providers", but i did install another antivirus for a few days but uninstalled it last week, it didn't affect the real-time protection. I've tried basic troubleshooting I found online but didn't work for me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Reboot Windows.

Right-click Start, click Run. Type windowsdefender://providers and click OK.

Post a screenshot of that page.

Let me know if this Fix list resolves the issue.

    • Download FixList.txt
    • Save Fixlist.txt in the same folder where FRST64.exe is.
    • Close all program windows.
    • Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
    • Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.

    Hi Rahul,

It's mostly a WMI issue that can happen after removing 3rd party antivirus software.

Please do the following and upload the respective logs.

    Step 1:

    Step 2:

Download defender_diag.bat. Right-click on the file, click Properties, Unblock, and OK. Run the batch file as administrator.

The Batch file queries Defender-related settings/Policies and outputs the results to a log file. Upload this log to your OneDrive and share the link here.
