There are only 2 rules in intalling drivers.

    1. use the driver provided by your computer manufacturer. Intel's realtek audio driver is for Intel NUC computers only. Other computers from other brands cannot use it.
    2. use the installer (most often setup.exe) to install your driver or else really bad things happen. It is for all DCH drivers (post 2018 drivers) for audio and video (not just Intel graphics drivers). You cannot install via device manager.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058298/graphics.html

99.9% of the problems are caused by installing via device manager instead of using the installer.exe.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Yes. You can safely reinstall the audio driver.

First, download the latest audio driver available from the support area of your computer/motherboard manufacturer's website, uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, and install the driver you downloaded.

Depending on your computer model, you may be able to uninstall the audio driver in "Settings > Apps > Apps & features".

If you can't find the correct driver or uninstall it, let me know the manufacturer and model of your computer/motherboard.

If you prefer, you can send a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

Feel free to ask back any questions.

    Sorry. Those screenshots didn't help.

Did you have an issue opening "msinfo32" to take a screenshot of your system information?
