Laptop will only turn on when plugged in, instantly turn off when unplugged, and will not charge above 3%

I own an older (2018) Asus ROG Zephyrus GU502GV and suddenly very recently I have been experiencing the issue described in the title and I see it as extremely odd and very sudden. Initially I thought this must be some sort of display bug but it truly wont charge above 3% and when the charger is plugged in will instantly turn on, I refuse to believe that the laptop battery has finally gone out as I never experienced this and it just seemed to happen. Is there any fixes for an issue like this or similar? If more information is needed please ask, my hardware is as follows:

CPU: 9th gen i7

GPU: NVIDIA 2070 RTX

16gb of ram

1tb of ssd storage

Hello! My name is Mostafa; I will assist you today.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if it's removable), and hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds. This will discharge any residual power and reset the power management settings. Then reconnect the battery and power adapter, and try turning on the laptop.

Update BIOS by visiting its manufacturer's website.

Check for Windows updates. Settings(Win+I) > Windows update > Check for Windows update.

Scan your PC with Windows Security or 3rd party antimalware software

Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Virus & threat protection.

    Check battery health.

Boot Windows in safe mode and check still your battery is stuck at 3%; press and hold the Shift key, restart Computer, then Troubleshoot > Advanced option > Startup Settings > Restart.

If that does not help, it might be a hardware issue; please get in touch with Asus support for further assistance. Thank you.
