How Do I stop edge from opening for every link in windows

How Do I stop edge from opening for every link in windows like in the settings app and search.

I dont like edge and prefer firefox.

I hate how microsoft forces users to open their stupid browser. it isn't going to be popular

    Try the following:

    1. Open Setting on Start Menu.
    2. Go to Apps> Default Apps.
    3. Scroll down and click Choose Default Apps by Protocol
    4. On the list look for all the protocol which associated to the web. (e.g.) HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and change it to the browser that you want to use.

    someone sent me this and it worked perfectly. It is an outlook setting.

    File - Options - Advanced - Link Handling - "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in: [**Microsoft Edge |**default browser]

    Paul, this worked , thanks, in my version of outlook is was File - Options - Advanced- File and Browser Preferences-Open hyperlinks in- and select default browser, in my case Chrome is already selected as default and indeed links from emails then opened in Chrome as they used to. This is aggressive behaviour from Microsoft steering users away from their preferred apps.
