Glad I could be of help. Initially, a Microsoft admin deleted this post because it was an answer to unanswered questions that were closed and as a result nobody could add answers/comments. I find it horribly asinine that moderators close questions/posts that have no answers/resolutions. What's worse is they will then penalize someone for posting the same question that hasn't been answered as the original unsolved question is closed for discussion. This kind of misguided unhelpful moderation is unfortunately all too prevalent on most message boards. Stack overflow and Samsung are two examples where they've actually banned people for what they consider, "duplicate" posts. This whole gamified approach to product community message boards needs rethinking. I'm curious to see if this comment is allowed to stay up. Rant over, LOL!
[Solution] Windows 11 update broke BCM20702a0 bluetooth chip on laptop
I am posting this question as really an answer since all threads on posts of people looking for answers to this problem are locked by Microsoft admins who chose to close questions that remained unanswered. Way to go MS! Anyway, I recently had the problem where my Bluetooth drivers appeared fine, but would not pair to anything I first tried updating my drivers with the drivers I originally installed that were from Lenovo as I have a Lenovo yoga c930 which I replaced the stock Wi-Fi Bluetooth chip in so I could dual boot MacOS (Hackintosh). After several failed attempts to completely remove and install different Broadcom 2070 drivers I then went to the Microsoft update catalog to search for Broadcom drivers. After several failed attempts I strangely found a Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 USB driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog that works. This is the driver I used...
Go through the usual have disk and choose to manually select the Bluetooth driver and then choose the "Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 USB" driver from the list. This worked for me and I image anyone else that has had windows 11 break their old drivers that this will work too.
It's unfortunate that Microsoft's so called experts close questions that have no resolution. Such is the problem on the gamified solutions message boards where admins are more incentivized to close questions as answered in order to increase their scores. It's the same problem I have with stackexchange. Anyway, I hope this helps people that have been dealing with this issue for a long time or that may run into it in the near future.
PS. Dear admins, since I answered my own question you can go mark this as closed immediately and up those irrelevant, misleading and meaningless scores that really seem to get you people excited in your happy places.

2023-06-05T14:20:42+00:00 It's insane that I just spent so long trying to get my mouse hooked up on a clean Windows 11 install. Thanks so much for your help. Very annoyed with the whole situation though, lol.

2024-06-21T02:01:21+00:00 Alternate Answer:
The "Browse for drivers on your computer" did not find the downloaded .cab file in any of the folders that I tried saving it to (including saving extracted contents). After a bunch of digging, I finally found the following solution in Windows 11:
Update Drivers
> Browse my computer for drivers
> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
> Manufacturer = "GenericAdapter" and Model = "Generic Bluetooth Adapter"
It gave me a warning about how this might break everything forever, but after applying this driver my bluetooth dongle works again now.

2023-11-08T21:02:13+00:00 Exact scenario but with a fresh Windows 10 install. Both solutions in this post would work for me. Just wanted to mention it as this post is the first thing that comes up googling "bcm20702a0".
Either have to manually install it, or download the "optional driver" via Windows Update.
