Random black screen crashes

For almost a year now I've been having crashes with no discernible source, seemingly at random. I could be browsing the internet, playing a game, or literally doing nothing. Sometimes I've had my computer crash after a restart before I can even open a program. When it first started it would often blue screen, although it wouldn't always give a cause. Now though, it just crashes to a black screen or occasionally another solid color. It's not a complete shutdown though because the lights on my computer and sometimes on my mouse stay on. I've reinstalled Windows multiple times, updated and reinstalled all drivers, and most recently got another hard drive to rule out hard drive failures. Most other hardware replacements are outside my budget so I'm really hoping that the problem is something on the software side of things. I thought I had things resolved after two days of no crashes, but now it's crashed twice today. Any help would be appreciated because I'm running out of ideas

Well unfortunately the in-place upgrade didn't work. In fact the crashes are happening even more often today with four in just the last hour. I currently have my computer in Safe Mode in the hopes that it won't crash long enough for me to run the previous steps again so that hopefully I can at least improve the stability back to how it was before.

Alright. I ran everything you said. System File Checker, DISM, and Memory Diagnostic all came back clean. I have my computer currently running on a clean boot and I'm not seeing any errors other than an AVG service that I haven't been able to remove yet. Of course, I won't know if the problem is resolved unless my computer crashes again or not, so I suppose time will tell.

Hi, thanks for the detailed information, as per checking and analyzing the event files you have, there are general errors on the event files, moreover, kindly follow the steps below for us to fix the issue:

Method 1. Run system file checker.

On Powershell(admin), copy, paste, and enter each command below:

    sfc /scannow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done restart the PC and check.

    Method 2. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

    Troubleshooting reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135...

Method 3. Run memory diagnostic tool: The memory diagnostic tool is a RAM test to check if there are any issues with RAM.

    • Press Windows key + R then type in mdsched.exe hit OK then restart the device.

Note: If none will work, please let me know the make and model of your graphics card as we may need to run a clean installation of the GPU driver.

The Minidump folder doesn't seem to exist on my computer, not sure why that is. Here's the System log from Event Viewer though.
    System Log 071723.evtx

One thing that's been confusing me is that, even when looking at Event Viewer, it will show when a crash occurred but the time is never correct. It always shows a message about an unexpected previous system shutdown but it says that it happened roughly 30 to 40 minutes before my computer actually crashed.
