My device supports thunderbolt 4 but I don't see it in device manager. All I see is usb4. Is this thunderbolt?

The thunderbolt control center shows Controller driver version NA. I have updated bios and windows 11 is up to date. I am using ASUS TUF dash 15 i7 12th gen.

On a second device I do see thunderbolt under software component but on this device I don't see it under software component. All I see is usb4 as shown in above image. The usb4 don't show on my second device where I see thunderbolt under software component menu.

What could be wrong? Please help.

Thank you

    Hi , devoops.

According to reddit user reports about the Asus tuf gaming f15 laptop (2022)

Asus confirmed that thunderbolt 4 is only for data transfer and the USB C is for power delivery.

They also report that the laptop has a problem with the Thundebolt ports so it has the usb 4 driver but without a controller because of this in the chipset scheme.

The strange thing is that the Asus TUF F15 version 2021 has the controller driver directly supplied by asus but does not have it in version 2022.

Best way contact asus and confirm thunderbolt drivers base on your laptop version.

But it is not a fault in windows.
