Why i couldn't update the whatsapp desktop app.I got notice about update required at first.And suddenly the app became grey colour & doesn't worked anymore.Already tried to fix it on Microsoft store which uninstalled the app and installed it again but noting was happened.Hope someone can show me any solution.

What a waste of space Microsoft is. Why can't they just leave things as they are. It worked perfectly before MS got their useless hands on it. Now the prog is completely useless !!!!
You go to update it as the message states, and it still comes up telling you to update it. What a pile of **** it now is !!!!
Get you **** together Microsoft and sort your mess out !!!

That link is for the now defunct, better but "outdated" app. Upon installing it, it gives me about a minute before I'm logged out and asked to download from Microsoft. However,the one from the MS Store doesn't download--mine has been "downloading" for hours. Meta has really trashed their own app. Anyone else having the problem that the download doesn't do anything? Any solutions?

Has anybody got to the bottom of this ? My whatsapp keeps prompting me to update but just buffers on the update page and does nothing until I cancel it. Says it will stop working in 7 days ?
Solved!!
Unistall Whatsapp. Go to Microsoft Store. Download Whatsapp Beta. Works fine.
